Signs of menopause are not permanent symptoms, they can hit you in a flash and be gone just as quickly. Hot flushes, night sweats, cold flashes and feelings of clamminess are amongst the 35 most common symptoms. Irregular sleep patterns, mood swings, irregular heartbeat, and night sweats are some more symptoms for those experiencing menopause. Menopausal symptoms can occur by themselves or can be brought on by other symptoms, it is not unusual for a sufferer to bread down crying for no apparent reason. Another sign of menopause is that your periods start to become irregular ? being heavier in some instances and lighter in other instances. In addition, there is also phantom type periods that can be shorter or even longer than normal periods. People that have begun to notice signs of menopause will also notice that their libido suffers adversely and dry vaginas are another consequence of menopause. Having problems with concentrating, feeling slightly disoriented as well as being fuzzy in the mind and being forgetful are other signs of menopause. You may also suffer from incontinence when sneezing, coughing or even when laughing. In addition, you can suddenly want to go to the toilet which in turn will cause you to feel anxious about going out of the home, especially to places where there are no restrooms. Some symptoms can be the cause of embarrassment for the sufferer. Loss of hair, excessive facial hair, body-odour, itchy skin, joint pains, muscle pains, tendon pains, weakened or cracking fingernails, are all for some women part of the menopausal process. A visit to your doctor is essential when you notice that you are getting pre-menopausal symptoms. Remember all women go through menopause, usually when they are in their middle ages, you are not alone and there are treatments available. The signs of menopause are many and though a few common ones have been mentioned, there are many more that can and will show up. In case you have reached your fortieth birthday, it is recommended that you have a check-up by a doctor to determine whether menopause has begun to develop in your body. -->
