How Do You Design a Personalized Wedding Invitation
You have decided to get married and now you have to start your wedding planning work. A lot of decisions have to be made. You have to choose a wedding date and the venue. You have to order your wedding cake. You have to find a beautiful gown. One of these decisions is to choose your wedding invitations.
You will certainly want to make your wedding cards as unique as possible. There are quite a number of print shops or invitation designers who can help. However, couples may generally find it difficult to come up with a design concept for their wedding invitations.
There are in fact different tips for designing a special wedding card if you search on the web. However, some of these tips can be too general that it can help you to design a beautiful card but not a highly personalized card. In this article, I will stick to the idea of personalization of wedding cards. You can try to start thinking about your invitations by considering the following ideas.
Where you met your partner
The very first thing you can think of in order to generate you wedding invitation design concept is the place you met your partner at the first time. For example, if you two met in China during your vacations, you can go for a design with Chinese style. You can put elements such as a dragon on your wedding card.
If you two met in Japan at the first time, you can even think of putting a few Japanese words on your card. If you can afford the time to visit the place you first met again and take a photo there, you can then put this photo onto your wedding invitation. The design will be working very well.
What your occupation is
You can also try to get a design concept from the occupations of you and your partner. You can design a wedding invitation in the form of an air ticket if both of you are working in airline. If your occupation is related to building, an architect for example, you can make your wedding card with architectural drawings on it. You can also think of making your wedding invitation by using concrete, if you are "crazy" enough.
The only drawback of such designs is that it will be an informal invitation. And it may not suit couples who consider etiquette something very important and want to make their wedding more formal.
What your hobbies are
You may also design your card from your hobbies. You can draw portraits of you and your partner if you love drawing very much. It will be something highly personalized and certainly very unique because it is a drawing made by you.
If both of you and your partner like surfing, you can start the design by considering the sea. Will your wedding invitation be a glass bottle with some water in it? From this you may even think that you can have a beach wedding so that the wedding theme is also reflecting your hobby.
