Wedding Decorations Based on Your Hobbies
After your engagement, you will need to start your wedding planning right the way. A lot of wedding items is waiting for you. Of all the decisions you are going to make, one of the most important will be the decorations of your reception hall.
In fact, the decorations should be in line with your wedding theme. Otherwise you will end up with a prototype of decorations - a balloon arch, floral decorations and a reception table that has been seen hundreds of time, if not thousands. This is especially true if you are hiring a wedding decoration company. They will give you all the ready made items which have been used many times before. To this end you should have some ideas yourselves in order to push your company you are going to hire to do a better job.
You can try to think of decorations based on your hobbies. Indeed this idea can also be applied to your wedding theme so that the theme and decorations will be under the same umbrella of design concept.
There was a real case from a wedding decoration firm that the couple did not have any idea about the wedding theme and decorations at the very beginning. After detailed discussions with the couples, the designer of the decoration firm found that the bride loves oil paintings very much. Although it seems that the groom was left out in the decoration design, the groom, as well the parents of the couple, were all satisfied with the decorations. All of us have different hobbies and preferences and the above idea is only an example which cannot be applied to your case directly. However, the concept behind should be the same. Since the wedding should reflect both of you and your partner, planning for your wedding theme and decorations based on your hobbies and preferences is always a golden rule. For example, if both of you and your partner love to collect vintage items (As a matter of fact I myself is a vintage item collector). You can certainly bring your collections out to the reception hall and use them to decorate your wedding venue. You wedding reception hall will become an exhibition on vintage items, which should be a very fine and attractive exhibition, as well as a perfect reception hall for your wedding.
One last suggestion is that, you should never make up some "hobbies" in order to decorate your wedding venue. At the end of the day you are not an exhibition designer who is helping a company to hold an exhibition. It is your wedding and it will make no sense if the decorations are not reflecting you and your partner.
