A while back, when I attended my close friend's wedding, I remember the groom having to dip into his gifts to pay out tips that he thought were included in the cost of his reception. He was horrified that now he wouldn't have as much money for his honeymoon that he thought he would. It certainly put a damper on the mood of the bride and groom. Most brides and grooms to be are entering into marriage young and inexperienced. My friend was amazed that after spending a fortune on his reception that he had to shell out even more for the Maitre de and waitstaff. The last thing any bride or groom wants is a preventable mishap on their special wedding day. An important aspect of planning your wedding is to know what needs to get accomplished first and how long you will have to do that. The more time you have before your wedding day, the easier it will be to plan. One year is good basis for wedding planning. If you do find yourself in a time crunch, you may want to look at utilizing a wedding planner or wedding consultant to assist you. Weddings are a big money making business, but you don't need to beg, borrow and steal to pay for them. When you determine your budget and choose a date that is at least a year away then you can start shaving off your current bills by eating at home more. Networking with other brides can help save money too. They can sometimes help you find good sales as all brides love to talk to other brides.
