Western Wedding Reception
The first indication that the couple was having a western wedding was apparent in the invitations. The couple chose an invitation design that used a cowboy hat and a bouquet of flowers as the central focus. The lovely icons were set on top of a bale of hay that was delicately placed to the left of the attractive notes. The notes were personally written for the guests informing that they were getting hitched which suggested that it is going to be on a western wedding theme. There were other details also on the invitation sent by them. It was a very casual but the way it has been attractively designed that it made up for the informal approach of the invitation note. The maid of honor also held up to the idea. She was giving a pretty box pendant and earring set with a cowboy hat. Every guest would get a necklace, pendant or earrings at the time of bridal shower. It was not as though the gifts were very expensive also. The selection of the gifts had the maid of honor very proud of herself. It was a lovely token as a gift for the western wedding and people would keep it for a number of years. Wine was presented to the bride and groom in an unusual way. There was a cowboy wine holder on the bridal table. The base of the wine holder was a horseshoe and attached to the base was a cowboy made out of horseshoes as well. His metal arms were outstretched to hold four wine glasses (that were adorned with running horses) and his bowed legs held the wine. This wonderful piece fit right into the western wedding theme. But noting could have made the occasion more appropriate than the splendid gown worn by the bride. It included a short pearls and lace train. You could not have called it a ballroom gown but it did radiate a lot of elegance. To complete the attire the bride wore a well ornamented cowgirl hat with a mild veil. -->
