What is Bad About a Beach Wedding?
Beach weddings are becoming more popular due to quite a number of reasons. It is cheaper than a formal wedding. Both of you and your guests can walk on the beach with the bare foot. Some couples also consider beach weddings informal or causal and the guests may just love the notion of being causal.
In fact there are really plenty of advantages for holding a beach wedding. You may also find your own reasons for your beach wedding. Although there are so many advantages, such a wedding is not free from problems.
The weather
A beach wedding is an outdoor one. As all the other outdoor activities, the weather conditions can render problems. If it is sunny on your wedding day, the weather is indeed blessing you and your guests. On the contrary, if it rains all the day, it may just ruin all your plans.
To this end, a contingency plan is always very essential. You may need to move to another location if it rains. If it is not raining heavily, you may still have your wedding on the beach. In this case it will be better if you can prepare some kind of shelters, a few marquees for example, so that your wedding can continue under the shelters. The shelters can be a good idea even if it is sunny since it can protect both of you and your guests from the sunshine.
The wind
It is usually quite windy on the seaside. You may think that there should not be any problem even if it is windy. You may even think that it will be good to be windy or breezy since it will be cooler under in the summer. However, it is not really true.
The wind can spoil your plan. One of the most obvious problems is that the wind will blow the sand on the beach up. This will eventually lead to a case that your food is covered with sand. It may also affect the camera of the wedding photographer.
As a result, you should well inform your wedding photographer and make sure that he or she will prepare to protect the camera from the wind or sand. You should also cover the food so that it can be protected.
The bugs
There will probably be bugs on the beach. It will be quite impossible to find a beach without bugs. This renders two problems. Your guests may feel uncomfortable with bugs. You should advise them to bring their own insect repellants and also prepare some in case they forget to bring their own.
Besides, the bugs can lead to hygienic problem. Again, you should cover all the food and store them well. If it is possible, you may take your food out only when it is time to serve the guests. Otherwise it will lead to a bigger problem if the food is "polluted".
The safety
The beach is not a dangerous place indeed. However, it may have safety issues for your elderly guests. It is your obligation to prevent the guest from danger. You should make sure you can prepare seats for the elderly guests since seats are not a must in a beach wedding.
